What are the 5 Solas, p. 3–In Christ Alone
As we remember the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, we are reviewing each of the key points and reaffirming our understanding of the factors that led to this movement. Next Wednesday (11.15.17) at 6:30pm we will look at Solus Christus—Christ Alone.
If anyone is saved, it is on the basis of Christ alone. There is salvation in no one else. God gives no other name under heaven by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12). Muhammed will not save you. Buddha will not save you. Mary will not save you. The Pope will not save you. Parents, president, and yoga pose will not save you. This truth separates Christianity from all falsehood: Sinners are saved in Christ alone.[1]
